What is 3D Printing?
3D printing is a technology that allows complex shapes to be created one thin layer at a time. A filament of plastic or other heat-sensitive material is forced through a tiny nozzle while a computer moves the device in a precise pattern. As the material cools, it bonds together to form a single piece.
What material/s are your products made of?
The majority of our products are 3D printed with PLA, a biodegradable plastic. It is extremely rigid, thereby holding it's shape well, and is generally considered food safe. Our cookie cutters, fondant cutters and cupcake toppers, and most other products are printed with PLA filament. Please note, as is mentioned on our listings and the packaging, that PLA is NOT dishwasher safe.
We can also print with ABS, T-Glase, PETG, Alloy 910, and other exotic filaments (most PLA-based but mixed with another material). These are NOT suitable for cookie cutters or fondant cutters either because they are not food safe or because of the flex of the filament. However, they may be perfect for your special custom order needs - replacement parts, home decor, and more!
Where are your products made?
Our products are made right here in the United States - in Rensselaer, Indiana. We are a small business - 21 employees strong - that designs, manufactures (prints), and distributes our own products. We really are an all-in-one shop.
How often do you add new products to your store?
ALL. THE. TIME. We are constantly searching for new ideas and adding to our inventory. In any given week, you can expect anywhere from 5 to 50 new products...or more!...added to our storefront.
How does the custom design process work?
First, bring us your ideas. We'll ask some questions, such as size preference, when you need it, what your requirements are for the item...and we may even ask for photos, sketches, and/or measurements if it's something very specific. Our quotes are based off of projected design time, how much filament is needed to print your project, and how long it will take to print your project. Payment is required up front if you accept the quote, and then we get to work designing and creating just for you! Please note that this process takes time. Typically it takes 2 weeks from start to finish for a custom cookie cutter, and 3 to 4 weeks during busy holidays. Other custom projects will be considered individually.
How quickly will I receive my order?
Please note the processing time listed in the descriptions for the items you are purchasing. Cookie cutters typically have a 1 to 2 business day processing time before they ship out - meaning if you order late on Friday night, then your order would ship Tuesday or Wednesday - 1 to 2 days to process and package, then it's ready for shipping pickup the following day. Most of our items ship USPS. Please contact us if you have any questions or if you need your items sooner. In some cases we may be able to mail it a day early or suggest upgraded shipping.
